Former Pak Air Force officer who made assassination attempt on Musharraf executed

Islamabad, Jan 10 (IBNS): A former Pakistan Air Force chief technician Khalid Mehmood, convicted for an assassination attempt on former president Pervez Musharraf, was executed, a media report said on Saturday.

Mehmood was executed in Rawalpindi’s Central Jail on Friday night. He was sentenced to death on Oct 3, 2005 for his involvement in an assassination attempt on Musharraf on Dec 14, 2003 in Rawalpindi.

He was shifted to the jail on Oct 27, 2010, sources said.
