Police have arrested four men for allegedly cutting the nose of a woman eight months back, media reports said.

The men allegedly cut her nose after she refused to have a relationship with them.

The suspects even made a video of the incident which occurred in  DG Khan district.

Local sources told Dawn News that prime suspect Zafar Lashari and three others had been forcing a woman, Salmi, to have relations with them, but she refused.

The sources say that the police had taken no action against the culprits on the pretext that no complaint was filed of the incident.

The National Commission of Human Rights of Pakistan took notice of the incident and sought a report from DG Khan District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali, after surfacing of the video clip of the episode on social media, the newspaper reported.

Shah Saddardin police, on the complaint of the victim’s sister, Saharan Bibi, arrested the suspects in the incident and registered a cases under sections 334, 511 and 354 of Pakistan Penal Code.
