Hamas admits executing Israeli teens: Israel

| | Aug 23, 2014, at 09:49 pm
New Delhi, Aug 23 (IBNS): Senior Hamas official Salah al-Aruri admitted during a conference of Islamic clerics in Turkey that Hamas's armed wing, the Kassam Brigades, was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens in June and has praised the perpetrators for their "heroic action".
Israel said this is another proof that  Hamas, like ISIS, kidnap and execute people based on religion or ethnicity.

Israel has contended that Hamas was behind the kidnapping of the boys, a claim that Hamas had previously denied.

The Israeli government said Hamas and ISIS are two sides of the same Islamic terror coin.

"Yet, as it has been claimed numerous times in the past, while many countries have rightfully united in condemnation and action against ISIS, a different standard was set for Hamas which consistently had been attacking Israeli civilians towards Israel, who have been facing incessant terror of Hamas," it said in a press communique.

"Hamas and ISIS come from the same radical, murderous Islamic roots with a pervasive indifference to human life, freedom and democracy. While ISIS is seeking to annihilate entire communities of minorities in Iraq, including the ancient Yazidis and Christians but first of all – other Muslims,  Hamas chases the same goal and shares the same perspective.

"Hamas is essentially Israel's ISIS - but funded by Iran and other extreme fundamental entities, assembled on the border of Israel and with genocidal intentions of destroying Israel and killing all Jews. Hamas and ISIS are fighting for the same cause – establishing an Islamic State that has no respect for anyone else, may they be Muslims, Christian, Yazidis, Kurds or Jews or any other different belief. The danger is evident and Israelis, Indians and other people around various areas in Asia, Europe and Africa are all a target," it said.

Israel said : "ISIS and Hamas are enemies of peace and enemies of all civilized nations. Like ISIS, Hamas seeks to violently impose Islamist rule devoid of pluralism and basic human rights on women and minorities. Other terror organizations such as Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Nusra Front, Hizbullah, LeT, IM share the same agenda."

Hamas' own Charter observes the use of children as human shields, while openly professing to Israel, " We desire death as you desire life."

Few weeks ago, Hamas reiterated again, "Our doctrine in fighting you [the Jews] is that we will totally exterminate you. We will not leave a single one of you alive."

Demilitarization of the Gaza Strip is also important to Israel, it said. The rehabilitation and development of Gaza is linked to demilitarization and to disarming the terrorist organizations from rockets, tunnels and other threats, it said.

Last Friday, the foreign ministers of the EU repeated their call for all terrorist groups in Gaza to disarm.

Meanwhile,  Israeli aircraft bombed the Gaza Strip on Saturday and Palestinian militants fired rockets at the Jewish state.

According to reports, five people were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in central Gaza.
