Hindu community traders protest abduction of girl from Sukkur, demand immediate release

The Hindu community and traders in Dera Murad Jamali in Pakistan recently protested to demand the immediate recovery of the abducted Hindu girl Priya Kumari.

She was abducted from Sukkur recently.

Protesters criticised the administration for their inefficiency in releasing the girl.

Holding placards, the protesters raised slogans against what they said routine abduction of innocent children in Sindh and the deteriorating security situation for the religious minorities, reported Dawn News.

Led by senior Hindu community leaders Mukhi Manak Lal and Seth Tara Chand, the rally was attended by people from all walks of life.Prominent among them were traders’ representative Taj Baloch, JI’s youth wing activist Liaqat Ali Chakar, president of the wholesale market Mir Jan Mengal, Molana Nawabuddin Domki, Khan Jan Bangulazi and Harpal Das.

They urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to take immediate action to ensure the girl's release.
