ISKCON devotees chant 'Hare Krishna' outside KFC outlet in response to YouTuber's 'chicken eating' act

A group of ISKCON devotees were seen standing outside a KFC outlet and chanting 'Hare Krishna', just days after a YouTuber triggered a row by eating chicken inside a vegetarian restaurant run by the organisation in London.

The video has now gone viral on the internet with many people describing it as the 'coolest revenge'.

Sharing the video, the X page by the name Senāpati Bhakta said: "They come to our restaurants to harass us, & we come to uplift their consciousness. Hare Kṛṣṇa."

The uploader of the video was making a possible reference to the London incident.

Referring to the London restaurant event, ISKCON London Radha-Krishna Temple said in a statement: "We forgive and sincerely pray for the perpetrators of this undignified act, who, due to ignorance, are probably unaware or simply don't care about the pain they are causing by making such childish videos."

A controversy erupted recently after an African-British man was caught on camera eating chicken inside a popular ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness)-run vegetarian restaurant in London.

The incident occurred inside Govinda restaurant.

The man, who was identified as Cenzo, reportedly entered the restaurant and asked the staff members whether it serves non vegetarian food to customers.

When informed that only vegetarian food is offered, he allegedly pulled out a takeaway box of chicken—reportedly from KFC—and began eating it inside the premises, reported Mint.

He reportedly offered staff and other customers non-vegetarian foods.

According to reports, Cenzo has apologised for his act.

Reacting to the video of the ISKCON devotees, one netizen wrote: " Great way to engage negative people and influence positively"

Another said: "One of the best ways to spread consciousness instead of going on the dirty path of revenge."

An internet user said: " While they came to provoke, the devotees came to elevate. That’s real strength."
