| @indiablooms | Apr 20, 2024, at 01:08 am

Protesting against the suspension of power supply to their areas, locals demonstrated in  Old Mirpur and its adjoining localities and villages in Pakistan on Wednesday.

The protesters led by Abdul Jabbar Panhwar placed hurdles on the road to cause traffic flow to come to a halt, reported Dawn News.

They complained to media persons that the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company’s (Hesco) officials had disconnected power supply to their areas six days ago without giving any reason, multiplying difficulties for thousands of people in Old Mirpur and its adjacent areas, the newspaper reported.

They said the suspension of the power supply also caused disruption in water supply in the areas.

They urged authorities to look into their complains immediately.
