Mexico fireworks blast kills 26

Mexico City, Dec 21 (IBNS): At least 26 people were killed as an explosion rocked a fireworks market outside Mexico City, media reports said on Wednesday.

Several others have been reportedly injured in the blast whcih rocked the San Pablito fireworks market.

Paramedics and the police rushed to the scene after the incident.

The exact cause of the blast is not known.

"Fireworks continued to explode after the initial blast, as smoke billowed from the area in thick black clouds," BBC reported.
