Minor girl abducted in Pakistan, later forcefully married to 45-year-old man

Islamabad: There seems to be no end to tortures committed against minors in Pakistan as a case has been registered against six men for allegedly abducting a 12-year-old girl from Ahmedabad in Pakistan’s Punjab province and even forcing her to marry a 45-year-old man.

The girl was recovered by police officials, but the accused managed to flee from the location, reports ARY News.

The father of the girl appealed to the higher authorities to take action against the accused, the newspaper reported.

The father even complained that the police department did not cooperate with him.

A local court directed authorities to determine the victim's age and even chided the investigation officer for mentioning the wrong age of the girl as 17.
