Pakistan: Jet crashes, PAF pilot martyred

Islamabad, Sept 24 (IBNS): A fighter jet crashed in Jamrud district of Pakistan's Khyber agency which killed at least one Pakistan Air Force, media reports said.

The mishap reportedly occurred when the plane was on a routine operational training mission.

"The pilot, flight Lt Omar Shahzad, sustained fatal injuries and embraced shahadat (martyrdom), no loss of civilian life and property has been reported on ground," Geo News reported quoting a statement issued by the country's air force.

The F7 PG aircraft was destroyed in the mishap.
