Pakistan: Petrol prices hiked by Rs. 4 per litre

Islamabad: New Year did not give bright news for people of Pakistan as the government hiked the price of petrol by Rs. 4 per liter.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division on Friday, the price of petrol and high-speed diesel(HSD) will rise by Rs4 per litre for the first 15 days of January 2022, reports Geo News.

The new price of petrol became effective from Jan 1.

The increase has been announced to meet the petroleum levy target agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Pakistani news channel reported.
