Islamabad: People in Pakistan's Kaghan valley protested against power outages on Saturday.

Shouting slogans against the government, the protesters blocked roads in the main bazaar for over two hours, reported Dawn News.

They told Dawn News the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road was reopened to traffic for Naran, the commercial centre of the valley but thousands of families, which migrated to lower parts of Hazara division after the start of snowfall late last year, couldn’t return due to the suspension of power electricity.

The demonstrators want Peshawar Electric Supply Company to immediately restore power supply to Kaghan and adjoining areas to restore normalcy.

Meanwhile, the district administration fined traders and transports for violating the coronavirus standard operating procedures, reported Dawn News.
