Pakistan's Punjab Police have detained several members of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) after they protested against  “illegal arrest and detention” of PTM chairman Manzoor Pashteen.

PTM Lahore reported that the police have transferred several workers, including PTM Lahore Chairman Rahim Wazir, to the police station after apprehending them, reported The Balochistan Post.

PTM claimed police initially halted the peaceful protesters advocating for Manzoor Pashteen and then arrested the members forcefully.

PTM has claimed the immediate release of the detained members.
