Aleppo, Sept 20 (IBNS): The United Nations has decided to suspend aid convoys in Syria, media reports said on Tuesday.

The move was made after its lorries were attacked by warplanes near Aleppo on Monday.

The convoy had received proper permits, and all warring parties - including Russia and the US - had been notified, a UN spokesman was quoted as saying by the BBC.

According to media reports, 18 lorries , out of the 31, were destroyed in the incident.

They were reportedly carrying wheat, winter clothes and medical supplies.
