Thailand boat mishap kills 13

Ayutthaya, Sept 18 (IBNS): At least 13 people were killed as a boat, in which they were travelling, capsized in Thai city of Ayutthaya, media reports said.

The mishap reportedly occurred after the boat collided with a concrete flood barrier.

The  two-deck boat was reportedly carrying 150 passengers.

It was travelling along the Chao Phraya River when the mishap occurred.

Sornsak Sansombat, director-general of the Marine Department, was quoted as saying by the Bangkok Post that currents were strong at that time.
