Ottawa, Dec 19 (IBNS): Thanking Canada PM Justin Trudeau at The Children's Wish Foundation, Syrian refugee Marwa Harb said the PM gave her a better life and future, media reports said.

Harb, who came to Canada along with her family last year, was flown by the Foundation to Ottawa to meet Trudeau.

After the meet, Harb said: "When I first ... came to Canada here, I was asking, 'Who's helping us? Who's this man, who make this happen? Who saved my life? Who bring my life back?' Everyone told me, Justin Trudeau," she said. "He give me a better life and new future."

Harb along with her parents and seven siblings flew from war-struck Syria to Canada a year ago.

Trudeau tweeted to say: "What a pleasure to host the Harb family on the Hill today. Marwa, I was touched by your story and I’m so glad you & your family are getting the support you need in Halifax. My thanks to @Childrens_wish for making today’s visit a reality."

Harb even said she was given a tour of Parliament by the Canada PM, CBC News reported.

Harb's life was difficult as she lived three years in a tent in Jordan that too with a manual wheelchair due to her scoliosis.

She even could get the surgery she needed after coming to Canada. She further wants to carry on her studies in law.
