Two detained in Istanbul airport

Istanbul, Nov 6 (IBNS): Triggering panic at the Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, two people in motorcycle refused to stop at a checkpoint, making the police to fire shots in the air, media reports said.

Both the people were detained by the police.

Istanbul Governor Vasip Åžahin tweeted that 'Tonight at Atatürk Airport, two motorcycles who do not fit the stop warning were caught'.

He said they were not carrying any weapons or explosives.

He said the airport remained open to passengers in and out.
