US: Suspected Austin bomber kills himself

New York, Mar 21 (IBNS): A suspect, who was involved in series of  parcel bombs in Austin area of the US, has died, police said on Wednesday.

The suspect was killed after detonating a device off an interstate highway in the Round Rock area of the state capital, police was quoted as saying by BBC.

The entire episode occurred during a police operation, reports said.

According to reports,  FBI agents are currently carrying out investigations at the scene of the incident.

Austin police chief Brian Manley tweeted: "I can’t thank the men and women of #AustinPD or our Federal partners enough for their tireless work in restoring peace to our community."
