Veteran Hong Kong journalist Allan Au arrested over alleged sedition

Hong Kong: China's national security police have arrested Hong Kong journalist Allan Au on Monday over alleged sedition charges, media reports said.

A source close to the matter confirmed the arrest with the Hong Kong Free Press.

iCable, Now News, and Sing Tao cited sources saying that Au was arrested for allegedly conspiring to publish seditious materials, under colonial-era anti-sedition legislation, the newspaper reported.

The former two outlets reported that Au’s arrest was linked with the Stand News case.
