Kabul: The Taliban government spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid has said  the international community must recognize the Taliban if they do not want to receive any threat from Afghanistan.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said Taliban must be recognized as a responsible side, reports Khaama Press.

“We fought the US because they did not recognize us in the past. If the Taliban are not recognized, it will only increase problems in Afghanistan, the region and the world,” Mujahid was quoted as saying by the news agency.

The Taliban, aided by Pakistan, seized power in Afghanistan on Aug 15 after running over Kabul.
