'Human rights of Uyghurs must be respected but country-specific resolutions not helpful': India after abstention from vote against China

New Delhi: A day after abstaining from voting against China on the issue of alleged human rights violations of Uyghur Muslims at the UN Human Rights Council, India on Friday said that the abstention is in line with its position that country-specific resolutions are never helpful and dialogue is the only way to resolve such matters.
