20 feared killed in terrorist attack in Pakistan university

Peshwar, Pakistan, Jan 20 (IBNS) At least 20 people were feared killed after a group of terrorists stormed a university in volatile northwestern Pakistan on Wednesday.

Media reports quoted Deputy Inspector General Saeed Wazi  as saying that at least three students have been killed.

Four terrorists have also been killed after the army moved into Bach Khan  university  at Charsadda in northwest  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. 

Reports quoted a Pakistani minister as saying that  at least 20 were feared killed in the attack.
3,000 students were present in the university campus along with  600 guests attending a poetry recital when three gunmen attacked.
The militants opened fire on students and teachers in classrooms and hostels.
Police, soldiers and Special Forces launched a ground and air operation at the university.
 Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.said those who kill innocent students and civilians have no religion. 

Television footage showed soldiers entering the campus as ambulances lined up outside the main gate and anxious parents consoled each other.
