Afghanistan: Taliban bans students, teachers from wearing neckties in schools
Kabul: The Taliban government of Afghanistan has banned students and teachers in the country from wearing neckties in schools.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Aziz Ahmad Rayan confirmed the news and added that wearing ties has completely been banned in schools, reports Khaama Press.
In the letter, all schools in Kabul have been asked to closely observe the Islamic hijab for female students and not to allow ties by students and teachers, the news agency reported.
The Taliban government has imposed several restrictions in Afghanistan since coming to power last year.
The Taliban took control over Afghanistan last year after capturing Kabul on Aug 15.
