Asif Ali Zardari leaves for Dubai

Islamabad, Jan 16 (IBNS): Former Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari has left for Dubai, media reports said.

The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamen­tarians chief is expected to leave for the US later.

The former president, who returned to the country late last month after spending about 18 months in a self-imposed exile, is likely to reach Washington before Jan 20 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of US president-elect Donald Trump, Dawn News reported quoting sources.

The Pakistani leader is expected to undergo medical check-up while staying in the US.
