Oslo/Sputnik: Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt said Saturday that Oslo is not considering recognizing the Taliban government (under UN sanctions for terrorism) in Afghanistan.

Huitfeldt spoke at the Munich security conference in the session "Afghan Aftershocks: From Ashes to Ashes?"

"We are reluctant to recognize [the Taliban] and will not do that," she said.

The Taliban seized power in Afghanistan last August following months of bloody violence and killing.
