The other residents of Gumbad Maira told the newspaper the weather was extremely cold and they needed smooth gas supply to keep their rooms heated, especially for the elderly and children.
“During the night the temperatures dip below the freezing point, and without a heating facility our children cannot have proper sleep,” Iqbal Ali, also of Gumbad Maira, told Dawn News.
The resident even complained they were formed to use costly LPG for cooking and heating.
“Every year gas load shedding forces the people to come onto the roads,” Rahmat Ali of Shahdara Watkey told Dawn News.
