Pakistan's Sindh witnesses disappearance of 47,000 wheat sacks

As many as 47,000 wheat sacks went missing from a Pakistani government's warehouse in Sindh, media reports said.

According to details, the wheat sacks procured by the Sindh government worth Rs800 million went missing from the godown, reported ARY news.

The Sindh Food Department has suspended three food officers following the incident.

The suspended officials include the district food controller Khairpur, food supervisor in charge and food inspector, reported ARY News.

This is not the first time such an incident occurred in Sindh.

Thousands of metric tons of wheat vanished from Sindh government warehouses in Naushehro Feroze in 2022.
