Plastic Factory catches fire in Ujjain, Ujjain, Dec 25 (ANI): Fire broke out at a plastic waste factory early today morning in Ujjain. Police officials reached the spot and started the rescuing operations. More than 6 fire tenders got the fire under control. They brought the fire under control with the assistance of fire brigades and water cannons. The source of fire remains unknown. So far, no casualties have been reported. 25-Dec-2015

Gulbarga farmers facing losses in 'banan Gulbarga, Dec 25 (ANI): Farmers in Gulbarga are facing losses in their horticulture crop banana because middle-men have been taking all the profit thereby affecting both the farmers and the public at large. Every year the price of banana suddenly falls to 3 to 4 rupees per kg (300 rupees per quintal) when it comes to the market. Middle men have been purchasing the banana crop at a lower price and selling them off at higher prices which as a result have impinged on the farmers and has become a monetary concern for them. 25-Dec-2015

7-year old girl found dead in Vizag Vizag, Dec 25 (ANI): A seven year-old-school girl, who had been missing, was found dead in Vishakhapatnam today. According to sources, the girl was strangled to death but the police are to yet to investigate the whole matter and come to conclusion. The midnight mass precedes the Christmas day when people sing Christmas carols in Churches celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is celebrated across the world on December 25. Christians and people of different faiths thronged the Sacred Heart Cathedral in New Delhi to offer their prayers and revel in the festivities. In Mumbai and Bengaluru city, bishops performed rituals and organised prayer sessions in the beautifully decorated churches after which they took the idol of baby Jesus Christ around the Church for devotees to have a glance. In a country where Christians are in minority, Christmas has come to mean getting together with friends, giving presents and hosting dinners. Russia plans to build at least six nucle Moscow, Dec 25 (ANI): Russia President Vladimir Putin plans to build at least six new nuclear power units in India in the next 20 years. Speaking after talks with visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Putin also said that Moscow and New Delhi were successfully cooperating in production of Brahmos missiles and planned to produce jointly a new type of jet fighter and transport aircraft. Prime Minister Modi might offer Russia a site in Andhra Pradesh to build six nuclear reactors of 1,200 megawatts (MW) each. New Delhi has turned to Russia as U.S. firm General Electric and Westinghouse, a U.S.-based unit of Japan's Toshiba , are still weighing an entry into India's nuclear energy sector because of a law that makes reactor suppliers liable in case of an accident. Balloon seller killed, 13 children injur Thane, Dec 25 (ANI): A balloon seller died and 13 students got injured in Maharashtra's Thane district as the gas cylinder for filling balloons exploded in Arya Gurukul School. The School had hired the balloon seller for its annual sports day celebrations. It was a high impact blast as the balloon seller died on the spot. A portion of the tin roof under which the accident occurred was also blown off. The injured students were immediately taken to local hospitals for treatment.Police reached the spot and began investigation into the matter. The exploded cylinder contained hydrogen gas. So far, 13 people have been admitted to the hospital. According to the Mumbai Police, further investigation has been initiated in the matter. 25-Dec-2015
India, Russia agree to cooperate in fiel Kremlin, Dec 25 (ANI): India and Russia signed 16 agreements across various sectors, including the field of helicopter engineering, railways and hydrocarbon. The agreements were signed after the delegation level talks between the two countries. Addressing the media after the signing of agreements, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India sees Russia as a significant partner in its economic transformation and in shaping a balanced and multi-polar world in future. He said agreement on manufacture of Kamov 226 helicopter in India is the first project for a major defence platform under 'Make in India Mission'. He said India has great respect and appreciation for the two countries' strategic partnership as it has been a source of strength and success for New Delhi.
