Shimla hosts workshop for artists Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Feb 27 (ANI): Young Indian artists recently gathered in Shimla to promote and preserve the rich Indian art of sculptures. Over two dozen young artists from different states came together at the historic Gaiety Theatre in Shimla for a ten-day workshop on wood, metal, stone sculpture and painting on cloth. The Lalit Kala Academy and the Himachal Pradesh Language, Art and Culture Department had jointly organized this workshop. The aim was to preserve India's rich traditional art and also to promote artists and their works. UP Polls: Voting ends with 57.36% voter New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): The voting for the fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections in 11 districts came to an end with 57.36 per cent voter turnout on Monday. A total of 608 candidates participated in the polls out of which 43 were females. Theatrical drama showcasing life of ‘M Guwahati (Assam) 27 Feb, (ANI): Dashrath Manjhi, popularly known as the ‘Mountain Man’, proved that nothing is impossible to achieve in life and as a mark of honour, a special drama on his life scripted and directed by Mithilesh Singh was staged in Guwahati’s Seagull theatre studio. Seagull formed in the year 1990 has emerged as one of the prominent theater troupe in the entire region. The play was organized in collaboration with the National School of Drama. CM Raje inaugurates Rahat medical progra Jaipur (Rajasthan), Feb 27 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje inaugurated Rajasthan Heart Attack Treatment Programme, ‘RAHAT’, for treatment of heart attack patients in the state. The programme has been launched by Eternal Heart Care Center Hospital at Jaipur to provide immediate health facility and medicine service. Under this programme, well-equipped and trained paramedical staff along with ambulance will be on 24X7 alert. This will provide quick treatment to heart attack patients in villages and remote areas.
