Residents release black balloons against Hyderabad (Telangana), May 24 (ANI): A group of Hyderabad residents again gathered at the famous Parade Ground and protested against the state government's proposal to build secretariat on the land. Intensifying their anguish, the protestors raised slogans and released black balloons to mark the 'Save Parade Ground' campaign. Many of them were carrying placards with slogans showcasing their protest against the decision. The Parade Ground is a large area of the defence land mainly used for military training purpose. Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao attends California (USA), May 24 (ANI): Telangana Urban Development and Information Technology (IT) Minister KT Rama Rao during his second-day of visit in U.S. attended the ‘World Environmental and Water Resources Congress’ in California’s Sacramento on Tuesday. During the event attended by over 1000 leading professionals from environmental and water resources’ fields, the Minister explained how ‘water’ was the primary reason behind the mass movement for state formation. 1 dead, several injured in Saharanpur vi Saharanpur (U.P.), May 24 (ANI): Atleast one person died in fresh violence between two communities in western Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place after Bahujan Samaj Party’s chief Mayawati’s visit to Shabbirpur village. After the rally, a truck carrying Dalits back to their village from the venue was attacked by some people. One person died and several others were seriously injured in the incident. Lashing out the state government, Dalit leader Rahul said this tragic incident shows the failure of the government. Uttarkashi bus tragedy: Shivraj Chouhan Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), May 24 (ANI): Expressing grief on Uttarkashi bus tragedy, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday assured full assistance to the families of the victims and injured. The CM said that he spoke to Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu to attach an extra coach to the trains for bringing back the mortal remains of the deceased. At least 20 pilgrims had died and several others injured after a bus carrying them drowned into a river near Dharasu in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi. The bus carrying 29 pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh was on its way from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. Snake venom worth Rs. 12 cror North Dinajpur (West Bengal), May 24 (ANI): The Border Security Force and Kushmandi Forest Department in a joint operation seized snake venom worth over Rs. 12 crore and arrested one person named Sudeb Tigga, who is a resident of Tapan block of South Dinajpur district. Throwing light, BSF 41 Battalion's Deputy Inspector General of Police TG Simte said the cost of the seized item is around Rs 12 crore and the recovered venom weighs around 4 pound, half of which was in powder and other in liquid form.
