Villagers create ruckus after body found Agra (Uttar Pradesh), May 30 (ANI): A ruckus was created in Uttar Pradesh's Agra by the kin of a person whose body was found near a railway track in Etmadpur area. The family members alleged that the police refused to register a complaint when the victim was abducted. The police baton charged to disperse the crowd and Deputy Superintendent of Police BS Tyagi said that the people were refusing to cooperate and blocked traffic at the highway. K. Tirumal Reddy takes over as Chairman Hyderabad (Telangana), May 29 (ANI): The Telangana Government on Monday appointed K. Tirumal Reddy as the next Chairman of the State Food Commission. K. Tirumal Reddy was sworn-in on the designated post during an event held at Ravindra Bharathi in the capital city. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and party's MP from Nizamabad, K. Kavitha felicitated Reddy during the event. At the function, Kavitha called for progressive policies on part of the State Food Commission which will not let any poor sleep hungry. In April this year, the Telangana Government had issued orders which notified constitution of the state food commission. The organisation was set up to monitor and evaluate implementation of the National Food Security Act, 2013. Objective of the act is to provide food and nutritional security by ensuring adequate quantity of quality food at affordable prices to the people across nation. It provides for coverage of upto 75 percent of the rural population and upto 50 percent of the urban population, thus covering about two-thirds of the population. The eligible people are entitled to receive 5 kilograms of foodgrains per month at subsidized prices. 30-May-2017
Saif Ali Khan's 'Chef' pushed to August New Delhi, May 29 (ANI): Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's upcoming flick 'Chef', an adaptation of Jon Favreau's film of the same name, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Initially, the release date of the film was July 14, which could have resulted into another clash in Bollywood but this time between 'Chef' and 'Jagga Jasoos'. According to the latest reports, the makers of 'Chef' have pushed the release to August to avoid collision with 'Jagga Jasoos' as Ranbir and Saif are family and this might create some problem between the two. Unfortunately 'Chef' may not still get a solo release for August as Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' and Shah Rukh Khan's next with Imtiaz Ali, and 'Atithi In London' are also lined up for August release. Take a 1/4 cup of basmati rice, wash it and dry them completely on a paper towel. 2. Once it got dried, grind them into a coarse mixture. 3. Add 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder in the milk and stir continuously till the sugar dissolves. 4. Turn off the stove and add saffron milk. For Sugar syrup: 1. Heat a pan, add 2 cups of water. 2. Once water starts boiling add 1 cup of sugar. 3. Add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, after 5 minutes turn off the stove. For Milk Peda: 1. Start kneading the chenna nicely. 2. Add 1/2 tsp of corn flour and gently mix it. 3. Take a small ball size of chenna and bind them for peda. 4. Soak the peda in sugar syrup for 10 minutes. Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds, 1 large onion chopped, 1 green chili chopped, few curry leaves and saute well. 4. Once the onion turns brown add 1/2 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 1 chopped tomato, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder, salt, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, left over chicken stock and shredded chicken. Just mix all the ingredients together and saute well. 5. Turn off the stove for a saucy chicken podimas. For a dry chicken podimas, just saute for 5 minutes to 7 minutes till it dries up. 6. Once the onion turns brown, add 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste. Reduce the flame saute it. 4. Add 1kg of mutton pieces, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 4 tsp chili powder, salt, one and a half cup of water, close and pressure cook it nicely. 5. Take a large pot add little oil, gongura leaves and saute till it gets cooked. 6. Add the cooked meat to the gongura. Simmer for 10 minutes or more, till it becomes thick gravy 7 Gongura leaves give sour taste. So add gongura as per your taste. 8. Finally check for seasoning. Mouth watering gongura mamsam is ready to taste with steamed rice! Chicken Tomato Toasties | Ventuno Home C Chicken Tomato Toasties Ingredients Tomatoes - 2 cups Onion - 1 1/2 sliced Boneless Chicken - 250gms Grated Cheddar Cheese - 1/2 cup Chopped Garlic Dry Oregano - 2 tsp (Buy : https://goo.gl/zLmNWY ) Paprika powder - 1 tsp (Buy : https://goo.gl/7oD9OU ) Basil leaves Pepper - 1 tsp Salt Olive oil - 2 tbsp Baguette Bread Method: 1. Heat a pan (Buy : https://goo.gl/tJY9id ), add onions, garlic and saute it for few minutes. 2. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. Mix all together. 3. Add chicken and oregano. Mix it well. 4. Sweet Banana Dosa | Ventuno Home Cooking Sweet Banana Dosa Ingredients Ripe Banana - 2 nos Jaggery - 1/2 cup (Buy : https://goo.gl/nvZs1Y ) Fresh grated Coconut - 1/2 cup Raisins Chopped Cashew nuts (Buy : https://goo.gl/oWTzob ) Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp Wheat flour - 1 cup (Buy : https://goo.gl/icV3zs ) Milk - 1 cup Baking powder - 1/2 tsp Ghee Method: 1. Take a bowl add ripe bananas and mash it well. 2. Add jaggery, coconut, raisins, cashew nuts, cardamom powder, wheat flour or all purpose flour and mix all the ingredient together. 3. Add milk, baking powder and mix it well. 4. If it is very thick, you can add milk and if it is too runny , you can add wheat flour. 5. Add ghee to the batter and mix it well. Hariyali Chicken Tikka Hariyali Chicken Tikka Ingredients Boneless Chicken - 300 gms Salt to taste Juice of 1/2 Lemon Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Chili powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 1 tsp Cumin powder - 1 tsp Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp Hung Curd - 3 tsp Ghee To Grind Garlic - 4 cloves Piece of Ginger Green chili - 2 nos Mint leaves - a handful Coriander leaves - a handful Water Method: To Grind: 1. In a mixer jar (Buy : https://goo.gl/BPiR5y ) add garlic, ginger, green chilies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, little water and grind to a smooth paste. For Marination: 2. Panna cotta | Ventuno Home Cooking Panna cotta Ingredients Gelatin crystals - 1tbsp Water - 1/4 cup Milk - 200ml Fresh cream - 200ml (Buy : https://goo.gl/hAuwqh ) Sugar - 1/4 cup Vanilla Extract - 1/2 tsp (Buy : https://goo.gl/LSNp1U ) Blueberry compote Mint leaves Method: 1. Take a bowl, mix gelatin crystals and water together. 2. Heat a water in a sauce pan(Buy :https://goo.gl/X9hRl6). Once the water got hot, turn off the stove and place the gelatin bowl in the hot water. Let the gelatin melts completely from the external heat. 3.Take a small saucepan, add milk, fresh cream and mix it well. Keep the flame on medium low. 4. Add sugar, vanilla extract, melted gelatin and turn off the stove. Mix all the ingredients together. 5. Take some small bowls ( You can also use small glass or cups) pour the mixture in to that. 6. Momos Sauce/Chutney Momos Sauce/Chutney Ingredients Tomato - 3 nos Dry Red chili - 8 nos Oil - 1 tsp Garlic - 2 cloves Piece of Ginger Salt Sugar - 1/2 tsp Few Coriander leaves Method: 1. 8 nos dry red chilies, boil in water. Remove it from boiled water and keep aside. 2. Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water. Once tomatoes start peeling its skin, remove from boiled water & cool it. 3. Remove tomatoes skin and chopped it. 4. Heat a saucepan(Buy :https://goo.gl/X9hRl6 ), add oil, blanched tomatoes, garlic, ginger, blanched dry red chilies, salt and sugar.
