JFE Engineering introduces latest techno

Tokyo (Japan): JFE Engineering Corporation started steelmaking and shipbuilding businesses since 1912 and expanded its field to energy, environment, urban infrastructure and industrial machinery by blending and evolving various technologies. One of their latest technologies often put under the spotlight is the facility. JFE Engineering uniquely developed using LNG (liquefied natural gas) system. LNG (liquefied natural gas) emits less CO2 and NO2 compared to coal or oil, for which LNG has been attracting attention as a clean form of energy. LNG is stored in huge tanks and is vaporized before being piped to a power plant. Inside the storage tank, LNG evaporates constantly giving off BOG (boil off gas), which could destroy the tank if left alone, so it has to be removed and reused. Channeling this BOG into the pipeline requires a large BOG compressor, which consumes huge electricity amounting to 1/3 of the total power consumed at the plant. To address this issue, JFE Engineering co-developed a new super-compact BOG re-condenser with Toho Gas Co. Ltd., headquartered in Nagoya. This re-condenser succeeded in cutting the power consumption by 50% with just 2% of the size of conventional re-condensers. The technology dramatically reduced “capital expenditure” and “operating expenditure” to maximize the return on investments. It also allows the simplification of operations and made the maintenance free. JFE Engineering puts great importance on participating in making master plans for development in emerging countries and follow up with the business life cycle to acknowledge the results and stand by those countries. The continuous contributions by Japanese technology help create a society with stable supply of energy across the globe today.

Upload multiple media at once on Insta S

New Delhi: Popular image and video-sharing platform Instagram announced a host of new updates to its app, making it easier for users to upload multiple photos and videos at once to their Insta Stories. "We're introducing a few updates that make it faster and easier to upload photos and videos to your stories. You'll now be able to upload multiple photos and videos to your story all at once. Whether you want to preview your entire story to make sure it's just right or you're waiting for a strong connection to upload all of your photos and videos from the day, it's now faster and easier than ever to share to your story after the moment has passed," the company wrote in a blog post. To explore the new feature, a user may select the 'upload media' option, where a new icon will appear at the top right corner of the screen. Hereafter, the user may tap the option to begin selecting up to ten photos or videos from the gallery. On the edit screen, a preview of all the media selected will appear lined up at the bottom. Each of these can be enhanced individually with stickers, text and other tools in Instagram Stories. Once done, all of the photos and videos in the preview will upload at once in the order selected. The new update, the company said, will also make it faster to find the right place when adding the location sticker to a photo or video, as the location sticker will suggest places from near where the media was captured. The latest updates are being rolled out on Android and will be launched for iOS users as well in the coming weeks.
