Vijaywada police dedicates a week for tr

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), May 1 (ANI): As part of the National Road Safety Week, Vijaywada police dedicated a week for traffic awareness. The police organised camps and took out a motorcycle rally. The purpose of the event is to spread awareness about road safety rules in order to bring down the count of accidents in the city. Artist uses custom-made robot to paint

New York City (New York), May 01 (ANI): American artist Barnaby Furnas is working on his latest painting with the help of a robot named Sozo. Sozo means 'imagination' or 'creation' in Japanese. This rover robot leaves marks on the canvas according to Furnas's instructions that he communicates via an optical tracking system attached to this paintbrush-like rod. Sozo has helped the artist make numerous works. It records the painter's every single movement, becoming a real-life backspace button for the entire creative process. Sozo is created by technology startup Artmatr, whose CEO Bejamin Tritt is a painter himself. Besides Sozo, Artmatr also has a variety of machines that use inkjet heads found in printers.

New Delhi, May 01 (ANI): The Wall Street fell on Monday as healthcare stocks slid and rising oil prices and a looming deadline for exemptions to United States steel and aluminum tariffs weighed on investor sentiment.  Leading the S&P gainers: Andeavor. Marathon Petroleum is buying its rival oil refiner for more than $23 billion. American fast food company, McDonald's shares spurted higher. Global comparable store sales shot sharply higher, and rising profit and falling revenue at the world's largest restaurant chain both topped analysts' estimates. Shares of Sprint and T-Mobile US dropped after the wireless carriers agreed to merge in a $26 billion all-stock deal. Investors took comfort in data showing inflation was in check. Personal income rose less than expected in March, and personal spending in February was revised lower. In Europe, strong earnings and an easing of inter-Korea tensions helped European benchmarks end April with their strongest monthly gains in two years.

Revealing the secret that keeps her on track, Keeling said she wakes up every morning with a stretch and a few exercises. Keeling is an avid runner and world record setter. At the age of 95, she set the world record for her age group in the 60-meter run. She is also the first woman in history to complete a 100-meter run at the age of 100. Now Keeling can add author to her list of achievements. Her new book 'Can't Nothing Bring Me Down' details how she ran her first race at the age of 67 at her daughter's urging to help overcome grief after the violent murders of her two sons. Keeling, who has no problem doing push-ups and other exercises despite arthritis in her fingers and knees, encourages everyone to be active.

Tamil Nadu traffic police introduce cash

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), May 01 (ANI): Tamil Nadu traffic police introduced cashless fine system in Coimbatore to ease payment of fines for those who violate traffic rules. As many as 70 swipe machines have been introduced to collect spot fine. The objective is to reduce the traffic violators in the city. The city police will also launch a new system called no accident day in the city. Motorists, public and police will jointly create awareness about traffic  rules. The event will be held once in every month and later on weekly basis.

Minor girl raped & killed in Dhanbad, ac

Dhanbad (Jharkhand), May 01 (ANI): A 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad. The minor was raped by her neighbour. The victim’s mother informed that the accused, Dablu, insisted on taking their daughter for a feast at a wedding party in the locality. After a few hours, Dablu returned and asked the parents if the girl had came back home. Her parents launched a search for their daughter but in vain. Police arrested the accused who confessed his crime. The body of the victim was recovered from nearby area and has been sent for post-mortem. An investigation is underway.

Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), May 01 (ANI): Two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Monday. SP Pani, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Zone) said “It was on a specific input that forces launched a cordon. Most important is that Sameer Ahmed Butt was killed, he was active since 2016 and he was involved in civilian killings and attacks on security forces”. A civilian also lost his live in the encounter in Pulwama.
