Goa CM Pramod Sawant assures industry of 'single window' clearance system in three months

Panaji, Jun 6 (UNI): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured the Goan industry of a single window clearance system through the Goa Investment Promotions and Facilitation Board in three months time.

Speaking to industrialists and business persons at a function organised by the Vibrant Goa Foundation to promote the forthcoming, Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit 2019 in the city on Wednesday, the Chief Minister, "I acknowledge that Goan industry faces problems of infrastructure, power and water supply, but my government is ready to solve these problems with the active support and help of the industry."

Sawant also pledged full support for the state government backed Goa Miles app based taxi service in the state.

He said, "The Goa Miles project is beneficial for both the taxi drivers and customers and is critical for the growth of our tourism industry. Goa Miles has hundred percent support of my government."

The Chief Minister also assured the organisers of the Vibrant Goa summit of his government's complete support. "The Vibrant Goa summit in October will benefit the state and Goan industry and hence we are supporting it one hundred percent," he said.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that many non-polluting companies would start business in Goa in the near future, resulting in jobs for local youth.

Srinivas Dempo, Chairman of the Dempo Group of industries, who also spoke on the occasion, pledged his group's 'financial and physical support' to the Vibrant Goa summit.

Anil Counto, Chairman, Alcon Group and Vice-Chairman of the Vibrant Goa Foundation urged Goan business persons to get involved in the Vibrant Goa summit.

Power Minister Nilesh Cabral, Nitin Kuncolienkar, Chairman, Vibrant Goa Foundation, Rajkumar Kamat, President, Vibrant Goa Foundation and Jagat Shah, chief mentor, Vibrant Goa summit also addressed the audience.
