Government extends last date for PAN-Aadhaar linking

| @indiablooms | 28 Sep 2019, 04:35 pm

New Delhi: For the seventh time, the government has extended the last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar card by three months, media reports said.

The last date has been extended from Sept 30 to Dec 31.

The last time the date extended was in March, 2019.

The Supreme Court last year made it mandatory to quote 12-digit Unique Identity Number (UID) while filing income tax returns.

The top court had said the government's flagship Aadhaar scheme is constitutionally valid.
