Havells India Board pays tribute to founder Chairman Qimat Rai Gupta

Kolkata, Nov 13 (IBNS): The Board of Directors of Havells India Ltd on Wednesday paid tribute to its Founder Chairman and Patriarch Qimat Rai Gupta, 77, who passed away on Nov 7.

The Board said, “QRG was an extraordinary entrepreneur who worked hard to take Havells to amazing heights and made it a true India based multinational and a major force to reckon with. His entrepreneurial zeal and never say die spirit would be fondly remembered”.

The Board also appointed Anil Rai Gupta, the Joint Managing Director as the Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Anil Rai Gupta, commented, “QRG’s passing is a sad and difficult time for all of us. Today, Havells reflects on his extraordinary life and his commitment to people, employees, industry and well-being of the society. In many ways he made the world a better place. Our values originated from him and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Havells. We share the great privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future”.
