Super Smelters aims to substantially bring down impact of natural hazards

Kolkata/IBNS: Super Smelters Limited, the flagship company of the SAI Group of Kolkata, has rolled out in the Indian market uniquely designed thermo- mechanically treated steel (TMT) bars to address the growing need from the construction industry.

The company’s product, namely the Fe 550+ SD Advanced Y Ribbed TMT Bars has been inspired by European construction patterns and In House Research to provide maximum bonding of concrete with steel bar for long-lasting, new generation homes.

The company is marketing TMT bars under brand name Super Shakti.

Last week a press conference was addressed by Chetan Yagnik, Director, Sales and Marketing of the company, Deepak Agarwal, Company's Director and Gopal Krishna Saran, Chief Mentor of the company.

According to Chetan Yagnik, this TMT has the power to neutralize the stress of Earthquake. During Earthquake most of the stress comes from left or right side so, for that it has both the side advanced Y Ribbed design which will take the load instead of you.

"Our Advance Rib TMT Rebar have larger Area of Rib compare to any TMT in the market, better Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and 0.2% 'proof stress that accord greater safety to all the buildings specially in area where earthquakes are known to occur," Chetan Yagnik said. 

The two main plant of this company is in Durgapur and Jamuria in West Bengal.

Jamuria is bigger than Durgapur. Jamuria factory covers the area of 30-40 acres at present. 

"The company has built a strategy to increase its share of business by 50 percent in the ensuing year. The steel industry has achieved significant buoyancy and expects to piggyback an investment of more than a hundred thousand crore in the infrastructure development space as announced by the Central government.

We are sure to be an able growth partner by contributing immensely to our country's economy," G.K. Saran said.
