Mumbai/UNI:  The Rupee on Tuesday rose 18 paise to close at 75.36 against the US Dollar on brisk selling of the American currency by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.

The domestic unit fell 6 paise to 75.60 in opening trade, but smartly recovered 18 paise to close high at 75.36 as compared to its previous close.

A fluctuation was seen during the session as it registered day's high and low at 75.64 and 75.50.

The local unit rallied owing to weak greenback against other world currencies amid strong equity market, the dealers added.
