Tata Docomo appoints Ajit Chaturvedi as MBU Head for East Region

Kolkata, Dec 15 (IBNS): Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, on Monday announced the appointment of Ajit Chaturvedi as Mobility Business Unit (MBU) Head for East region.

As the MBU Head, Ajit would be responsible for overseeing company’s operations and business in the highly competitive markets of Kolkata, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Ajit brings his leadership experience and team management skills to the region from Delhi and Rajasthan where he led Tata Teleservices Limited’s very successful business operations as a MBU Head – Delhi and Rajasthan.

In a career spanning 23 years, Ajit has worked with some of the leading corporates across diverse industries including stints at GE, Pepsico, Anderson consulting (Accenture) and Bharti Airtel where he served as Head - National Sales & Distribution, Mobility Business.

On his appointment as MBU head for East region, Ajit Chaturvedi said, “Tata Docomo has displayed consistent growth in this region with its innovative and customer centric offers and plans. My mandate is to further cement and sustain the long lasting relationship between consumers and the company. We intend to be a lot more receptive, focused and proactive towards consumer demands in the region.”

He further added, “With the telecom subscriber base in Kolkata reaching to 22.53 million at the end of June this year[1], we will continue to keep the emerging trends of data and voice consumption by the millennial generation in perspective, to offer services targeted to meet their always connected lifestyle.”
