Kolkata, Dec 16 (IBNS): Tata Consultancy Services, an IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), on Tuesday.

The IIC comprises global research universities, organisations and government bodies. IIC members represent a broad range of companies and entrepreneurs who are working side by side to set the direction and enable the development and rollout of the Industrial Internet. The Consortium provides a platform for a holistic, 360-degree perspective of the IT industry, including issues affecting privacy and security.

“Large-scale adoption of IoT systems requires close collaboration between technology companies, governments, universities and industry. At TCS, we engage with several IoT stakeholders through our TCS COIN™ (co-innovation) network. TCS is excited to be a part of the IIC which is a key enabler of collaboration and co-innovation,” said Ananth Krishnan, CTO, TCS.

“TCS is an innovator and already has experience in Industrial Internet solutions, and we look forward to their active participation. As one of the world’s leading IT service and consulting companies, TCS will be a great contributor in IIC work and on the various IIC Working Committees,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director, Industrial Internet Consortium.
