AirAsia India celebrates inaugural flights from Bengaluru to Pune

New Delhi, Dec 17 (IBNS): AirAsia India has added Pune to its extensive route network list and marked this occasion on Wednesday with a receiving ceremony for the inaugural flight from Bengaluru to Pune and Pune to Jaipur.

AirAsia India is the first airline to operate Pune – Jaipur route. 

The inaugural flight from Bengaluru to Pune witnessed a 100% flight load.

Flight I5 1424 took off from Bengaluru at 1.15pm and landed at Pune airport at 2.45pm. Passengers were given an arti–tikka welcome at the Pune Airport.

Flight I5 3424 took off from Pune at 3.15pm and will arrive Jaipur airport at 5.00pm.

AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya said, “AirAsia India’s first flight to Pune is yet another milestone for us and an important part of our expansion plan.  It is overwhelming to see the response we are getting from our flyers and our entire team is delighted to see fully loaded flight. AirAsia India is the first airline in the country to operate the Pune – Jaipur route and we believe that this route has immense potential.”

AirAsia India currently operates flights from Bengaluru to Chennai/Kochi/Goa/ Chandigarh/Jaipur/Pune and vice versa.
