Bangladesh-India import export to remain suspended due to Diwali
Dhaka/UNI: Export and import activities through Bhomra land port at Satkhira in Bangladesh will remain suspended on the occasion of Shyama Puja, also called Deepawali or Diwali.
Ghojadanga C&F Employees (Cargo) Welfare Association of India has decided to halt export and import activities of all types of goods on Saturday (November 14) on the occasion of Shyama Puja.
Mostafizur Rahman Nasim, general secretary of Bhomra land port’s C&F agents' association, confirmed the matter.
Biswajit Sarker, officer-in-charge (OC) of the Bhomra Land Port immigration police said, “Passport holders can travel as usual during this period despite the suspension of import and export activities.
