Gorakhpur/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said Uttar Pradesh is changing rapidly towards progress along with Purvanchal.

"Earlier there was fear of goons in the people, now it is vice-versa. With the consistent efforts of the CM Yogi Adityanath for law and order, now the goons are terrified of the government action. This is the law system of the State," he claimed.

He said Uttar Pradesh is fast becoming the preferred destination for investment and marching ahead consistently on the path of development.

"We will soon be connected to all the metros of the country through Purvanchal, Bundelkhand and Ganga Expressway. The world will be accessible to us through Green Field International Airport like Jewar, Kushinagar, Ayodhya International and other airports," the Minister said.

Presiding over the seventh technical session of the manufacturing sector at the National Webinar and Symposium on Sustainable Development of Purvanchal at Gorakhpur University on Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister said due to the changed environment, better infrastructure and investment friendly policies, Uttar Pradesh has jumped to the second rank in ease of doing business and emerged as a favorite destination for investors.

The Deputy Chief Minister said after coming to power, 67 State Highways were constructed by the government.

"We are also making eco-friendly roads. Herbal road and roads made of plastic and other waste materials are proof of this. We will connect each lane with the main road nearby. To motivate the people, roads are being built in the name of martyrs, topper students and famous people," he further said.

He also referred to the social concerns of the Public Works Department.

It also said the outcome that comes out of the three-day churning here will present the ground reality. By following the results from here, the progress of Purvanchal will be further accelerated.

Principal Secretary of the department Nitin Gokarn, Chief Engineer SP Singh, Head of Civil Department of Madan Malviya Technical University, Shri Ram Chaurasia and JP Pandey among others also presented their views in the program.
