Coal ministry sets up committee to benchmark project execution timeline
New Delhi/IBNS: The Ministry of Coal Friday set up a committee under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor to review and benchmark the timelines in project execution, including the tendering process.
"The above committee has been set up with a view to suggest a robust and efficient set of timelines and whether statutory clearances may be obtained prior to issuing tender," the ministry said.
The committee will comprise representatives from NTPC, IOCL, PGCIL, and Director (T), ECL will be the member secretary.
The committee will examine tenders having value of more than Rs 300 crores of Coal India Limited (CIL), its subsidiaries and other PSUs.
