Jharkhand: CCL loses out on early production hours due to thick fog

| @indiablooms | Nov 20, 2021, at 05:45 am

Ranchi/IBNS: Dense fog has affected coal production, transportation and dispatch work for the last two days in the mines of Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) in Jharkhand, according to media reports.

The first shift at CCL starts at 6 am but workers are unable to utilise the dumper, Haulpak and any other big machinery until 9 am due to the presence of unwanted fog in the morning.

The Ranchi-based enterprise's Haulpak operators complained that thick fog blocks visibility beyond 10-12 feet during the first three hours of the morning shift.

Consequently, the coal production, transportation and dispatch remain suspended during this time period in all the open coal mines of CCL in the region, inflicting tremendous losses due to persistent decrease in production hours.
