Fareportal India banks on tech innovation, human capital to accelerate growth in online travel space
Gurgaon/IBNS: Fareportal India, an online travel company, looks to distinguish itself with a single codebase to accelerate launch of new features on a weekly basis to give it an edge over other major travel enterprises.
The third largest Online Travel Aggregator (OTA) in North America said the feature allows each department to develop and launch new features and remove redundancy.
The company also aims to integrate ideas on leadership and technology that employ machine learning, natural language processing, chatbots, robotic process automation, and new payment methods like Buy now, Pay later, and NDC integrations.
Fareportal’s Vice President and Head of Product, Vikas Banga, said: “With the help of homegrown Customer Service Innovations like Chatbot, customers can search for flights, request help with their existing booking, and make changes to – or even cancel – their existing bookings quickly and easily."
The B2C focused company further presented their plans covering employment programs, human resource development, and technologies used for sustained growth over the next five years.
Employee-oriented goals such as work-from-anywhere, employee well-being and mental health, hiring and branding and talent development in the course of their human resource development are a major priority, said a senior company official.
Rajat Bhatia, VP & Head of People & Culture for Fareportal India, said: “Human resource will be the key to achieving our future growth strategy, focused significantly on enhancing and growing our technology teams and adding new digital capabilities.”
Headquartered in New York, Fareportal's consumer travel brand portfolio includes CheapOair and OneTravel.
