Mumbai: Petrol and diesel prices were increased on Tuesday again.
According to the price notification of Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi costs Rs 104.61 per litre and diesel Rs 95.87 per litre. In Mumbai, a litre of petrol is available at Rs 119.67 per litre while diesel at Rs 103.92.
In Chennai, a litre of petrol costs Rs 110.09 while diesel Rs 100.18.
In Kolkata, the price of a litre of petrol is Rs 114.28 while diesel is Rs 99.02.
The fuel prices were on freeze since November 4, 2021, but the record 137 days hiatus ended on March 22 with an 80 paise per litre increase in the rates of petrol and diesel.
The oil companies have been increasing the petrol and diesel prices since then except on March 24 and April 1, 2022. This is the 13th hike in the past 15 days.
