Tata Steel India achieves highest-ever annual crude steel prodn of 13 million
Mumbai: Tata Steel India has achieved its highest-ever annual crude steel production of approximately 19 million tons, with a growth of 13 percent YoY despite the COVID second wave related disruption early in the financial year, the company said Tuesday in a filing to stock exchanges.
During Q4FY22, crude steel production increased by 2 percent QoQ and stood at 4.90 mn tons.
Tata Steel India deliveries increased by 6 percent YoY in FY22, surpassing the previous best recorded in FY21.
Domestic deliveries grew by 14 percent YoY driven by improved demand and the company’s robust marketing network. In 4QFY22, Deliveries grew by 16 percent QoQ to 5.12 million tons, the highest ever quarterly deliveries.
Automotive & Special Products’ segment deliveries increased by 27 percent YoY in FY22 to cross 2.5 million tons mark; 4QFY22 deliveries were up 4 percent QoQ on improved auto OEM production especially in passenger and commercial vehicles
‘Branded Products & Retail’ segment deliveries increased by 11 percent YoY in FY22 to cross 5.2 million tons mark; 4QFY22 deliveries were higher by 16 percent QoQ driven by strong brands performance and micro- segment approach in the MSME segment.
‘Industrial Products & Projects’ segment deliveries increased by 12 percent YoY in FY22 to cross 6.3 million tons mark; 4QFY22 deliveries were higher by 11 percent QoQ with increased focus on value added products.
Tata Steel Aashiyana, an e-commerce platform for Individual Home builders, registered gross revenues of Rs 1,465 crores in FY22, which was more than double of FY21 gross revenues.
Tata Steel Europe steel production in FY22 grew by 6 percentYoY and total deliveries increased by 2 percent YoY driven by broad based improvement in most steel consuming sectors. During 4QFY22, production was down 9 percent QoQ due to operational issues primarily in UK, however deliveries were up 9 percent QoQ.
