Pieter Elbers becomes IndiGo's new CEO as Ronojoy Dutta retires
InterGlobe Aviation which operates budget carrier IndiGo Tuesday announced Pieter Elbers has joined as its new chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from September 6, replacing Ronojoy Dutta, who retired last week.
The company announced the appointment of Elbers as the CEO on May 18.
Initially, Elbers was supposed to join on October 1 as Dutta was going to vacate his office on September 30.
In his previous stint, Elbers served as the president and CEO of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines since 2014.
He is also a member of the executive committee of Air France-KLM Group.
