Tata Group, Singapore Airlines in talks to merge Air India and Vistara
Singapore Airlines Ltd and Tata Group are in confidential discussions over a likely deal that may involve the integration of Vistara and Air India, Reuters reported.
Tata Group owns a 51 percent stake in Vistara Airlines while the remaining 49 percent is held by Singapore Airlines.
"The discussions seek to deepen the existing partnership between SIA and Tata, and may include a potential integration of Vistara and Air India," Singapore Airlines said in a statement, the report stated.
The discussions are underway and no definitive terms have been agreed upon as yet, it added.
