Mumbai: The Indian Rupee on Tuesday slipped four paise to close at 81.87on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers amid negative equity market, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit that surged 12 paise at 81.71 in opening trade, later it erased earlier gains and ended at 81.87, sliding 4 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 81.68 and 81.90 respectively, dealer added.
